Safety

The highly technical nature of downhole chemical services requires that crews have a greater understanding of well mechanics relative to other well service crews. Capillary Tubing and Cable Spooling operations necessitate stringent safety procedures and must be monitored carefully. Management believes that an understanding of the “big picture” is fundamental to a safer environment and insists on cross-training crew members to perform every aspect of the operation, optimizing efficiency and safety. Through its detailed training program, Spool-Tech has ensured deep understanding for the entire crew, creating a more efficient, safe and knowledgeable team relative to its peers.

The safely of its employees is an integral part of Spool-Tech’s core values. Safety is the single most important factor of the business and Management has diligently built a training program that not only identifies the hazards associated with the job, but also teaches employees how to mitigate them. The Company has built a corporate culture that fosters and encourages an environment based on common sense, stop job authority, and diligence in engineering controls to mitigate the risks to employees. Management believes its workforce tenure and crew familiarity distinguish Spool-Tech from its competitors and demonstrate its ability to perform multiple complex functions without sacrificing service quality or safety.

Having spent years in the safety divisions of multiple large oilfield service companies, Danielle Lessen designed and oversees Spool-Tech’s safety program:

  • All field hands go through a rigorous training program before they are signed off to work on their own. Each employee goes through 30-60 days of training from a minimum of three different individuals to learn each job type that Spool-Tech performs

  • Spool-Tech is a member of the Petroleum Education Council (PEC) with preferred status based on its safety and insurance programs

    • All employees have PEC safeland training, are current in First Aid / CPR, and have current PEC H2S clear training

    • The Company has a designated employee who is certified to teach all employees for PEC and H2S clear training

  • In addition to the rigorous safety training program, Spool-Tech designed its equipment with the manufacturer to be safer than industry requirements. By standardizing its fleet, Management is ensuring that its equipment keeps the safety of the service techs and rig crews are at the forefront of every operation

    • Daily and Monthly equipment inspections with documentation turned in on every job

  • The large number of Spool-Tech’s customers are public operators and their MSAs require rigorous safety qualifications and tests. The Company’s ability to successfully adhere to strict industry regulations is a testament the quality of its safety program
